NOE CPC’s in-house Data Services team have been working hard over the last few months to deliver a series of updates in order to provide better services for our customers. Our Data Services Manager Matt Durrant has shared some of the key developments.

The team have continued to provide technical support for recent framework launches including Pharmacy Clean Room Services, Contrast Media and IT Hardware and Services (LINK3). The team have also supported with the launch of a revamped catalogue for our Estates Consumables framework making it simpler and easier for customers to view the range of products offered under the agreement.

In May, the data services team launched a new benchmarking tool which provides instant savings across six frameworks with an easy-to-use interface. A complete overhaul of the Management Information Online system has eliminated some of the most common and frustrating problems for users. A preview of version 2 which includes a new interface and row-by-row MI summary will be launching soon.

The Data Services team are continuing to support our NHS Supply Chain: Hotel Services colleagues by regularly updating their catalogue, including new attributes and support for the new Healthcare Furniture framework, as well as a growing image library on OpusCapita.

We have also relaunched our Request for Quote (RFQ) system for NHS Supply Chain: Hotel Services, which already has requests through the system for a number of trusts looking to use the Medical Furniture framework. The tool demonstrates variation between suppliers that can help deliver savings to customers.

For the remainder of 2021 we’re looking at:

  • Continuing to champion RFQ across Hotel Services and improve the catalogue
  • Improving our cyber security further and achieving Cyber Essentials certification
  • Integrating supplier reporting into MIO and making it even easier to use.
