This framework has been designed to complement existing NHS service provision between the parts of the wider health and social care system to ensure the prompt and efficient flow of patients into and out of a healthcare setting.

Secondary Care Access and Discharge Support Services includes a wide range of services required to successfully improve the flow of patients ‘into’ and ‘out of’ a variety of healthcare service settings, improving the efficient operation of healthcare services by reducing delays, improving the patient experience, and eliminating unnecessary delays.
The agreement is designed to work closely with and complement existing NHS service provision by providing an effective link or integration between the various parts of the wider health and social care system to ensure the prompt and efficient flow of patients into and out of a healthcare setting.
- Compliant route to market for a number of service-critical, high-spend areas which may be historically commissioned under the service provider's SLA
- Awarded suppliers have been assessed against stringent quality requirements demonstrating their compliance with all minimum standards
- Bespoke framework agreement which complements and works alongside the NHS contract for the commissioning of these services
- Supports quick, appropriate and safe discharge of patients and moving on to next stage of care
