This NHS Workforce Alliance framework is free to access and replaces the International Recruitment of Clinical Healthcare Professionals (RM6162) framework.
This framework aims to provide a holistic approach to the International Recruitment journey, and the range of services and support requirements needed at the various stages of the process, to enable Participating Authorities to obtain recruitment and retention support of overseas candidates.
This Framework is in response to and aligned with recommendations set out for international recruitment in the NHS Long Term Plan and the NHS People Plan.

This framework provides Trusts and public sector organisations with a range of suppliers who can provide expert guidance on the International Recruitment of Healthcare Professionals.
The NHS Long Term Plan has set out its ambitions for the NHS over the next 10 years, identifying ethical and sustainable international recruitment as a workforce priority.
This framework aims to provide a holistic approach to the International Recruitment journey, and the range of services and support requirements needed at the various stages of the process, to enable Participating Authorities to obtain recruitment and retention support of its overseas candidates.
International recruitment is vital to support the ongoing recovery from the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic coupled with other service pressures across the NHS due to the substantial shortage of clinical staff in England.
Joining our framework grants access to a wide range of experienced international recruitment organisations that have been awarded by us to ensure a framework wide standard of quality.
We ensure providers:
• Meet government requirements on ethical sourcing, codes of practice, legislation, voluntary arrangements and regulations
• Are responsible for relocation, pastoral support and satisfaction of the employee
• Keep up to date with regulatory changes, language testing, and immigration policy
• Are compliant with procurement regulations
• Contracts can be awarded either by a single trust or cohort of trusts working together in a collaboration or lead recruiter model.
