How to use the Total Technology Solutions Vendor Discount Matrix

The Vendor Discount Matrix is now live and available to use on our Total Technology Solutions framework page. This easy to use tool has been developed to allow users to identify the best value offering for a given requirement under the Total Technology Solutions framework agreement.

This new tool provides a clear justification for a direct award decision, and so reducing any potential risks. The VDM can also be used for market research purposes, such as finding vendors or manufacturers for certain ICT product areas, or identifying which suppliers hold a particular partner status with a given vendor or manufacturer.

The tool is available to anyone with an NOE CPC log-in. If you don’t have a log-in, you can create a new account here. The tool can be found within the Fileshare area under the Pricing tab. This will take you to a Power BI report, where you will see four filters which will help you source the best value supplier for your requirements.

The four filters are:

  • Vendor/Manufacturer (The name of the vendor/manufacturer you are interested in)
  • Sub-Category (The ICT sub-category the product sits under)
  • Vendor Tier (The level of relationship the supplier has with the vendor)
  • Supplier (The name of the framework supplier)

On the second page you will see the output of your previously selected filters. This displays all of the suppliers that are capable of providing your requirements and ranks them in order of the minimum percentage discount from the manufacturer’s list price that they are able to offer.

The last page provides definitions of each of the sub-categories that are within scope of the TTS framework. This is for information purposes and allows you to make a more informed decision about which sub-category your requirement falls under.
