In this session we will look at the Mental Capacity Act and relevant case law underpinning the principles, as well as legal frameworks for authorising deprivation of liberty and the interaction with the Mental Health Act. This practical session will consider some of the basics of the various statutory frameworks around mental capacity and mental health and the sometimes complex interplay between them.
