Welcome to the latest update in our #TeamTalk series, where we put a spotlight on the teams that make up NOE CPC.

This month we’re focusing on our Technology (ICT) category team, who manage a portfolio of frameworks providing non-clinical hardware, software and systems for the NHS and wider public sector.

We spoke to Lisa Tearney, newly appointed Senior Category Manager for Technology (ICT), about her background, what’s new in the category and her plans for 2025.

“I’m delighted to be taking on this new role, having worked in the NHS for around eight years and in a procurement role for around 20 years. I have experience of working in different procurement categories, including medical, corporate services and ICT, and I hope to be able to use this experience to guide me in my new role.

“My new role will include leading and developing the Technology (ICT) category team and development of the category strategy. This will also include responsibility for the effective management of ICT’s existing portfolio of framework agreements and ensuring timely delivery of further procurement projects in line with our NHS customer requirements.

What’s new in the category

“We were excited to announce the launch of the new Tech Devices – Link 4 framework on April 1st, which offers a single route to market for a full range of tech devices, including laptops, desktops, tablets and monitors. This new framework, developed alongside NHS SBS, aims to streamline procurement processes and enhance value through collective buying power.  The Link 4 framework is easy to use and offers user-friendly ordering for NHS organisations to be able to procure a wide range of ICT products.

Future plans for the category

“Looking ahead to 2025, our alliance with NHS London Procurement Partnership (NHS LPP) continues to strengthen our ability to leverage collective buying power, ensuring the best value and innovative technology solutions for our NHS customers and wider public sector.

“The ICT category team are hoping to support customers to integrate advanced technologies via our frameworks, such as AI and machine learning, to improve healthcare delivery and operational efficiency. We aim to modernise IT infrastructure across NHS trusts and the wider public sector, ensuring compatibility with the latest software and systems to support innovative digital solutions. Our vision includes continuous collaboration with key NHS partners, such as NHS LPP, to leverage our collective buying power, drive sustainable, cost-effective procurement practices, and continue to provide comprehensive support to our members and customers.

“If you would like to access our Technology (ICT) frameworks, or require further support, please contact my colleagues on the Support Desk, who will be happy to help you.”
