NOE CPC’s social team was formed in 2018 to encourage colleagues to look after their wellbeing and host activities to promote bonding within the team. This ranges from events like staff Christmas parties and wellbeing walks, to our charity fundraisers, where staff vote for their chosen charity for the year.

The social team took an active role during the pandemic when the team was working from home, hosting quizzes and virtual kitchens, to help colleagues stay connected.

With the festive season on the horizon, we sat down with the team to find out the different ways they look after their wellbeing.

David Parker, Communications Officer: "I enjoy running as a way to wind down and getting out into the fresh air to switch off, as well as spending time with family."

Andy Walsh, Procurement Specialist: "I am a groundskeeper at my local cricket club, being out in the fresh air sitting on a roller with the birds chirping and people walking their dogs, I also enjoy attending car rallies and taking photographs."

Tracey Nation, Category Manager: "When I'm not working, I like to spend time with family and friends, going out for meals, walks, day trips, concerts and the theatre."

Laura Kitteridge: "I look after my wellbeing by spending time with my family, especially my grandosn, and walking the dogs."

Joe Speed: "I like to unwind by gaming, whether videogames against an automated opponent or board games."

Olivia Humphrey, Procurement Support Officer: "I like to cook and bake new recipes as much as possible and to counteract this I then attend yoga classes and play tennis."

Farah Naaz, Data Analyst: "Maintaining my health & fitness routine plays a major role in taking care of my wellbeing, I also love to cook and bake as a form of therapy."
