Looking Ahead: Training and Events in 2026
As we kick off 2026, our Training and Events programme is geared to help NHS procurement teams and the wider NHS to stay informed, connected and confident – whether through practical updates on the Procurement Act legislation, specialist legal seminar, workforce workshops or sustainability and social value webinars.
Meet the Team
Rob Pearce – Head of Training and Events – Rob leads the Training and Events team working with colleagues and partners to deliver content for members, customers and suppliers. His focus for 2026 is to grow our mix of online and in-person formats so attendees can learn, discuss and discover new insights.
Miriam Pedersen Smith – Commercial Training Manager – Miriam joined the team in September 2025 bringing her experience in event/marketing and commercial leader with a background in healthcare, sport, and large‑scale events. She specialises in building strong events, developing commercially successful strategies, and creating meaningful customer experiences.
Bianca Small – Support Officer: Customer Relations, New Business and Events – Bianca joined the team in August 2025 on a one year secondment bringing her experience from the communications and marketing team supporting with development of new event ideas, communications with members and assisting teams in facilitation of events.
Emily Keeling – Administration Support Officer – Emily is the engine behind the events team. A new addition to our team in September, Emily manages coordinating registrations, updating calendars, and making sure attendees have the right information.

Procurement Act One Year On - Where are we now? – 25 February. An exclusive event for our members on the legal and operational perspectives of the implementation of the new rules.

Our Training and Events programme offers added value for our members, offering tailored solutions like NHS procurement overviews for new starters, accessing seminars across a variety of topics delivered by experts in their field. We’re expanding our reach with the launch of Dynamic Change Networks to collaboratively tackle challenges across different sectors. We’re also looking beyond our primary focus of procurement to engage directly with teams such as estates and pharmacy. As we look to the future of our training offering, we will also be exploring new formats like on-demand training, podcasts and expert interviews ensuring we continue to deliver support that is accessible, relevant and focused on improving patient outcomes.

- Communications – We share themed update across our channels and customer newsletter each month, along with updates on our upcoming events.
- LinkedIn – Follow our account for daily posts including updates on seminars, panels and forums.
