Thank you to everyone who came to see us at Clinical Pharmacy Congress

At this year’s Clinical Pharmacy Congress 15th anniversary special, our Healthcare and Pharmacy Services (HPS) team alongside colleagues from NHS London Procurement Partnership (NHS LPP), took centre stage on opening day as well as attending as a main exhibitor.
Thousands attended the annual event in London, again breaking records by bringing together pharmacy professionals and clinical teams from across the UK. From cutting-edge clinical content to invaluable networking and an electric atmosphere on the show floor, the two-day event at Excel did not disappoint.
On Friday 8 May, NHS LPP's Clinical Director for Healthcare & Pharmacy Services & Chief Pharmacist, Jas Khambh, joined the faculty of speakers in the medicines optimisations workshop arena. Along with NHS LPP colleagues, the expert team presented a session on ‘How value based procurement impacts patient care.’
Joanne Barton, Associate Director of Procurement, led the team from NHS NOE CPC, which was a great opportunity for colleagues to jointly represent from the stand, the extended portfolio of frameworks available through our collaboration. These include pharmaceutical gas solutions, contrast media, radiopharmaceuticals, pharmacy cleanroom services, pharmaceutical services and much more. The team also produced a poster for the event, based on a collaborative project with Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, to help improve their management and storage of portable medical gas cylinders – view the poster here.
The stand was extremely busy across the two days, with lots of interactions, connections and conversations. We’re looking forward to planning for next year’s event and hope to see even more of you there.
