Getting ready for the new Social Value Model

The Social Value Model is changing, with the revised PPN 026 applying to in-scope organisations for procurements commencing from 1 January 2027. The new model puts a stronger focus on Good Jobs and Skills, including employment opportunities, fair working conditions, training, career progression and talent pipelines.

This session will look beyond the policy and focus on what the changes mean in practice and how procurement and commercial teams can apply them

What we'll cover

  • What the new Good Jobs and Skills outcomes mean
  • Understanding the six Model Award Criteria
  • How to select the right Social Value outcome and criteria
  • How Social Value can be built into procurement and tender documentation
  • What good Social Value looks like in practice
  • How to evaluate supplier responses
  • Turning Social Value commitments into measurable KPIs
  • What contract managers need to consider
  • How suppliers, SMEs and VCSEs can prepare
