Social Value is becoming an increasingly important part of how we deliver better outcomes through procurement – but what does that actually mean for you and your organisation?

As part of the NextGen Procurement Network, this practical session will explore the new PPN 026 Social Value Model and, more importantly, how you can start putting it into practice.

With the revised model applying to in-scope organisations for procurements commencing from 1 January 2027, now is the time to understand what is changing and how procurement professionals can use Social Value to create meaningful impact.

What will we explore?

We’ll move beyond the policy and look at how Social Value works in the real world, including:

  • What PPN 026 means and what is changing
  • The new focus on Good Jobs and Skills
  • The six Model Award Criteria and how to use them
  • Choosing the right Social Value outcomes for your procurement
  • Building Social Value into tender and procurement documentation
  • Evaluating supplier responses effectively
  • Turning commitments into meaningful and measurable KPIs
  • What contract managers need to consider
  • How suppliers, SMEs and VCSEs can prepare

Why join?

Whether you're new to procurement, developing your career or looking to strengthen your technical knowledge, this session will give you practical insight you can take back into your role.

It’s an opportunity to understand not just what the policy says, but how we can use procurement to create wider value for our organisations, our communities and the people we serve.

Learn. Apply. Influence.

Join the NextGen Procurement Network and build the knowledge and confidence to make a difference through procurement.
