The Workers (Predictable Terms and Conditions) Act 2023 is still anticipated to come into force in or around September 2024 that will give workers, including agency workers, the right to request a predictable working pattern. The session will look at:

  • what does it mean and when does it apply
  • who will be eligible to make requests
  • what obligations are placed on employers
  • practical guidance for employers in dealing with requests; and
  • the consequences of getting it wrong

We will also briefly review other similar legislation that may be introduced by the new government.

This session will be delivered by Andrew Moore, a Partner in the Employment & Incentives group at Addleshaw Goddard. 

He advises on a full range of non-contentious employment matters including complex disciplinary and grievance issues, discrimination, TUPE within the public and private sector, Trade Union matters and whistleblowing.  Andrew provides advice in respect of contingent workers, including advising on the application of the Conduct of Business Regulations and IR35.  He has particular experience and interest in National Minimum Wage compliance and supports clients in carrying out self-reviews and in dealing with HMRC investigations on those issues.

Andrew has also been preparing and conducting employment tribunal cases for over 20 years, appearing in the Employment Tribunal in over 300 cases.  He has conducted the advocacy in cases ranging from 10 day complicated whistleblowing, discrimination and TUPE cases to one day unfair dismissal claims.
