Hard FM and Bradford Teaching

Background

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has been an NOE CPC member for over 10 years, and throughout that time, our procurement teams have supported them on a number of projects. Most recently, Imran Ahmed, Category Manager for FM, Property and Business Services supported them to appoint a provider under Lot 12 of the Estates Maintenance and Engineering Services (Hard FM) framework.

The project

Imran said: “We have worked hard to build a relationship with the Estates team at Bradford over the last few months. They played an integral role in helping us to bring the Estates Maintenance and Engineering Services framework to the market, assisting by participating in the sourcing group to sitting on the evaluation panel.”

Bradford has also awarded a contract under the Hard FM framework for fire risk assessment. Wendy Stanley, Estates administrator at Bradford Teaching Hospitals has worked closely with NOE CPC’s procurement and category teams to award these contracts, alongside Assistant Director of Estates Mahesh Mistry.
She said: “The support from NOE CPC has been absolutely fantastic, in particular from Imran who supported us right throughout the process from writing the specification to the evaluation stage.
“The template documentation provided was very helpful in that it was similar to our own but more condensed. Imran has been very helpful from developing the specification right through to the evaluation stage.
“He has also provided template costing calculations which have helped us with other tenders.”

As well as being supported by NOE CPC on various procurements, the team at Bradford Teaching Hospitals has taken part in supplier events and training sessions provided by NOE CPC.

Testimonial

Wendy added: “I would definitely recommend NOE CPC to other trusts. They have always provided a reliable service and the teams are very knowledgeable about their categories.

“They are always available to support us with any issues we encounter, guidance on procurement matters and we have benefitted hugely from working with NOE CPC.”
